Paris metro, january 2014
At the edge of the platform, someone is looking towards the next station in line. From that very station, a second person is
looking back without knowing it, just under the horizon. Each person separated by one metro station that they will soon reach in their
journey, passing each other. Maybe each has hopes and aspirations that will get this much closer
to being fulfilled when reaching the station they are looking at.
Each diptyc is made of two points of view, one glance toward the other, ever following the metro line and the rails until it finally vanishes
under the earth. All along this journey, the city of Paris evolves and gradually changes.
These moments of peace, contemplation and reflection contrast with the chaos and hurry of everyday metro commuting.
